As good as your new Rheem equipment is, however, problems can sometimes occur. With our Protection Plus® Extended Service Contract program, you can protect yourself from unexpected, unbudgeted repairs after the limited warranty expires. Protection Plus allows you to extend the limited warranty on your Rheem equipment up to 10 years, depending on which plan you choose. Coverage begins on the expiration date of your Rheem limited warranty (typically five years on most parts).
With Protection Plus you can relax and enjoy the comfort provided by your Rheem comfort solutions, instead of worrying about the cost unexpected repairs.
There are a variety of Protection Plus plans for you to choose from to maximize your comfort and peace of mind.
Platinum Plans – Parts & Labor:
• Years 6 through 10 for parts
• Day 31 through year 10 for labor |
Gold Plans – Labor Only:
• Day 31 through year 5 for labor only |
The Platinum Plan covers parts and labor. The Gold Plan covers labor only. All plans are billed to Protection Plus.

A: No, you can purchase Protection Plus anytime within 23 months of the installation of your equipment, in most cases.
Q: What does Protection Plus cover?
A: Depending on which plan you select, Protection Plus covers either the parts or the parts and labor required to repair mechanical or electrical failures of your equipment that occur during normal usage and that are due to defects in materials of workmanship.
